Web AppCourier Tracking & Operations Platform · 2026

World Express

World Express moves documents, parcels, and cargo across India. We built the public site, the customer-facing tracking, and the staff console behind it — a single system that covers both the consignments they carry themselves and the ones they hand to partner networks.

The challenge

Customers do not know or care which courier is carrying their parcel, but a courier business hands plenty of its volume to partners. Sending people off to nine different tracking websites loses them. Meanwhile the operational reality is a spreadsheet: staff needed to keep booking in bulk, not retype every consignment into a web form.

What we built

One tracking field accepts anything. Our own consignments resolve from the database; a partner number is identified by its format and resolved against that courier — official API first, then an authorised public endpoint, and only if both are unavailable does it offer a clearly labelled link out. Ambiguous numbers ask rather than guess, and nothing ever redirects on its own. Staff book one at a time or import a whole spreadsheet, and the whole platform runs on a serverless Cloudflare architecture with near-zero baseline infrastructure cost.

Highlights

  • Nine partner couriers identified and resolved from a single tracking field
  • Graceful fallback chain: official API, then public endpoint, then a labelled link out
  • Bulk booking by Excel or CSV import, with downloadable templates
  • Staff console of thirteen screens: customers, imports, media, users, and status labels
  • Sessions on PBKDF2 hashes and HMAC-signed cookies, with no session store to run
  • Marketing pages ship 6.6KB of HTML and zero JavaScript

Inside the product
